Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Anvil — a service operated by Sword Anvil Development and Innovation LLC (Sword Anvil), licensed in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates under Economic Licence No. CN-5592640 — collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Account information. When you sign in, we collect your email address (used for one-time passcode sign-in).

Profile & delivery details. To fulfil orders we collect your phone number and a location you pin on a map (latitude/longitude and an optional address), used as your pickup address when exchanging an item and delivery address when redeeming one.

Listings and photos. When you list an item, we store the photos you upload and the details of your listing.

Orders. We keep records of the items you redeem and list, including amounts, status, and delivery information.

Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment providers (Stripe, Ziina). They process your card or payment details directly — we do not receive or store your full card number.

Usage data. We may collect basic technical information (such as log data) to keep the Service secure and working.

• Create and manage your account;
• List, exchange, redeem, collect, and deliver books;
• Process payments and account to listing members;
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
• Protect against fraud and keep the Service secure;
• Comply with legal obligations.

Your data is stored with trusted providers: account data and records in Supabase (PostgreSQL and authentication), and images in Cloudinary. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections, and database access controls (row-level security) restrict data to those authorised to see it.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the Service:

• Supabase — database and authentication;
• Cloudinary — hosting of listing images;
• Stripe / Ziina — payment processing;
• Delivery — the phone number and delivery location needed to collect and deliver a book for a specific order;
• Legal — where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

Note: when a book is redeemed, the information necessary to complete collection and delivery is used to fulfil that order.

You can view and update your profile and manage your listings from your account. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing info@swordanvil.com. Some records (for example, completed orders) may be retained where we are required to keep them.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting obligations. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.

Your information may be processed on servers located outside the UAE by the providers listed above. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' safeguards to protect your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and revise the “Last updated” date.
